Job Applications and Applying For Jobs – Cover Letters and CV’s

Job Applications and Applying For Jobs – Covering Letters

  • Many jobs don’t state whether they need one or not – could you be clear with this?
  • What are they expected to write? Is there a social element included in this (they may not understand this) and could you tell them what type of things to include?
  • How long should it be? Could you tell them?
  • How much of this goes towards whether they get interviewed or not?
  • If they include too much will they not get an interview? Or too little?
  • Do you really need an application form, Cover letter & CV?

Job applications and applying for jobs – CV’s

  • Do you state how long it should be?
  • Could you ask for just a CV but not an application form or cover letter? (Could they not just add more info into the CV if required & could you tell them what to include?)
  • Could you state what exactly you need to see? I.e. 5 year employment history, qualifications, skills?
