To ensure this forum remains a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for everyone—especially autistic and neurodivergent members—we ask all participants to follow these guidelines. These rules are here to protect our community, honor diverse experiences, and support meaningful connection.

    1. Respect All Neurotypes
This is a space for neurodivergent people and allies. Respect everyone’s experiences, identities, and communication styles—whether autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, or otherwise.
    2. No Hate Speech or Discrimination
Racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any form of bigotry will not be tolerated.
    3. Support, Not Diagnosis
We welcome sharing experiences but do not offer or request medical diagnoses. This space is peer-led and not a substitute for professional care.
    4. Inclusive Language Matters
Avoid functioning labels (“high/low functioning”) and pathologising language. Identity-first (“autistic person”) and person-first (“person with autism”) language are both valid—respect members’ preferences.
    5. Sensory Awareness
Use content warnings (e.g., CW: loud noises, flashing images) when sharing potentially distressing or triggering content. Avoid unnecessarily bright colors, all caps, or flashing GIFs.
    6. Consent is Key
Don’t send private messages without permission. Respect boundaries—ask before giving advice, especially on sensitive topics.
    7. No Self-Promotion or Spam
Sharing resources is encouraged if relevant and helpful, but blatant self-promotion, advertisements, or spam will be removed.
    8. Protect Privacy
Don’t share personal information—yours or others’. This includes real names, addresses, or medical details.
    9. Moderators Are Here to Help
If you experience harassment, bullying, or anything that makes you feel unsafe, please reach out to a moderator.
    10. Assume Good Intent, but Stay Accountable
Misunderstandings can happen—especially in neurodiverse spaces. Be kind, open to feedback, and willing to learn.

    đź’¬ Final Note

Thank you for helping make this a supportive and inclusive space. We’re all learning together—please be kind, stay curious, and don’t hesitate to reach out to moderators if you need support or have questions.
